For the first time in my life it seems that fall has finally had the chance to peak - it's in a metaphorical type of full bloom. I used to hear about the reds that leaves would acheive and even wasted a few minutes on Google reading about the chemistry behind the different colors. All this and still snow would be sifted down from the sky before I saw red leaves. Yellow leaves would lay on the ground damp and as mucky as my attitude towards that transitional moment between winter and fall. Thankfully this year fall has lasted a few weeks (knocks on wood). While I'd like to think it's luck and my bad seasonal memory I also find myself thinking of Global warming/climate change. As a result of what many scientists say is the inevitable increase in temperature my summer clothes are being stretched out. To go the extra mile between the morning chill and late afternoon glow I am layering like my life depends on it. I find that fall layering unlike winter layering is a very delicate procedure. Get too carried away and you'll end up carrying your jacket and such in the afternoon. Too little and you'll sneeze through the day. I find that pairing a light dress with a sweatshirt makes my life easier as the sweatshirt is my layer of warmth with or without a jacket. Hoping this lasts for a little while longer.
