In the last ten years numerous figures in the public eye have gained praise and acclaim for the mundane - including my personal favourite wearing their clothes multiple times. I feel that for the rest of us this is a given, reworking pieces until they no longer fit your aesthetic or are too old to keep. In my day to day I find it a little bit torturous to repeat due to the fact that I show a lot of favouritism to my clothing and will wear the same ten pieces over and over again - rinse and repeat like clockwork. In the back of my mind I know that this is doing nothing for the long term life span of my clothing but I still can't bring myself to care about that. What really get my gears turning at one am is whether or not I am becoming a boring shell of a silhouette by not wanting to try something new, what wacky new layering scheme I can come up with without impeding my ability to run for my bus and fit into uni desks. Practicality.
