T-shirt Dress - Oak + Fort                                        Jacket - Thrifted

Jeans - American Apparel                                        Toque - Babaton

My obsession with men's wear has been rekindled. Not just in small doses but large quantities. Blame it on the fact that I am finally wearing the jacket that I said I needed to dry clean since this side of forever, or the fact that I was creeping the Hypebeast and happened upon some snaps from Seoul Fashion Week SS15. Let me say that I rethought not only how to wear my jacket BUT why I wasn't wearing sneakers and why didn't I feel an air of nonchalance when I dressed? I mean when will I just feel at peace and evade that fear that I look overdressed etc. In the case of silhouettes I don't need to inject just one piece of men's wear into my silhouette - making my whole look masculine in terms of silhouettes really made all the difference! I walked with more ease today although I did spend a moment or two wondering if my lip gloss was still intact. No worrying about how my shirt fell or whether I'd trip in my heels. Beyond comfort though I have to say that let's not forget that you don't need a man to wear men's wear. I know that the notion that you have just stolen your mans shirt is romantic and shit like that but honestly you're a grown woman - act like one. If you find a men's item that you enjoy go for it! I think that women who insist on stealing their significant others shirts are wimps. I mean really, you can demand equal pay but you can't walk into the men's section? Utterly laughable! I find myself perusing the men's section without fear or discomfort I like the comfort that jackets provide plus some items tend to be cheaper in terms of cost/quality considerations. I already have a few items on my boxing day wish list and look forward to snatching up some items. My elbows are ready; especially since the men in this city don't seem to have developed a distinct style without looking contrived. Boy's better watch out - or watch how it's done (you can hashtag shots fired to this!)
